Job summary

SOCOTEC in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design reviews for building and infrastructure projects in the UAE and internationally. You will coordinate project details with clients and authorities as a representative of SOCOTEC, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.

You will attend site visits, identify new business opportunities, and assist the Commercial team with fee proposals and invoicing while collaborating with the Technical Manager and Accounting

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably in Abu Dhabi, UAE
• Proficient in structural software including ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000.
• Experience with local Abu Dhabi codes and regulations, including the MePS system.
• ADM Engineer's License Card is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural engineering services for building and infrastructure projects in the UAE and internationally; coordinate project details with clients and authorities.
• Attend site visits and meetings as required by the project and clients.
• Identify business opportunities for SOCOTEC and work with Commercial team to develop proposals and quotations.
• Assist Commercial team with the preparation of fee proposals and quotations; liaise with Technical Manager and Accountant for reporting and invoicing.
• Assist Technical Manager, Accountant and Managing Director in analyzing the financial data associated with projects.
