Job summary

Dar, the founding member of the Sidara group, is an international multidisciplinary consulting organization specializing in engineering, architecture, planning, environment, project management, facilities management, and economics.

This role focuses on supporting the Project Manager in steel structural engineering and leading the civil team to ensure work aligns with drawings, contract documents and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Extensive experience in structural engineering with focus on steel structures and leading projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in structural analysis and design coordination of steel structures.
• Review drawings, reports, and specifications submitted by the design office.
• Interpret construction drawings and study contract documents and applicable standards.
• Check contractor’s correspondences on contractual issues and provide recommendations.
• Visit work site regularly to check progress, quality and resolve conflicts.
• Lead/supervise engineers, inspectors and surveyors during construction and implementation.
• Review the contractor’s progress and monitor materials and manpower on site.
• Ensure awareness and compliance with HSE policy by subordinates.
• Provide support in review and audit of structure studies/submissions.
