Job description

The Senior Specialist - Finance is a key member of the Finance department reporting to the Manager - Finance within the Group CFO division. This full-time, overhead role (Grade 10) is responsible for ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory requirements such as CIT and VAT, as well as performing statutory consolidation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and IAS standards. The position supports strategic decision-making by providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Audit and Regulatory Compliance (30%): Ensure timely completion of internal and external audits and adherence to COSO framework, VAT, and corporate tax regulations.
• Feasibility Analysis (15%): Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new projects and capabilities by analyzing costs, benefits, risks, and organizational impact to inform decision-making.
• Financial Analysis and Reporting (15%): Analyze financial statements to identify trends and performance indicators; prepare detailed reports and executive summaries; develop presentations for Board and shareholder meetings.
• Financial KPI Monitoring (15%): Compile and compare actual financial KPIs against targets and industry standards; identify areas for improvement and corrective measures.
• Business Intelligence (15%): Support implementation and maintenance of business intelligence modules, ensuring data accuracy; create reports and dashboards; perform ad hoc analyses.
• Ad Hoc Financial Analysis (10%): Respond to special requests from the Head of Finance, supporting audits and strategic initiatives with timely financial insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CMA, or ACCA are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Finance, including at least 3 years in financial analysis or a financial analyst role.
