Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of finance and accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, budgeting, financial reporting and controls.
• Proven experience managing financial reporting and month-end/year-end processes.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to advise senior management with commercially focused financial insights.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead the financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, planning and compliance functions of the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity of the company's financial information, while providing management with meaningful financial analysis and insight to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements


• Ensure compliance with IFRS and all applicable regulatory and accounting requirements


• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations and accounting records


• Lead the month-end and year-end financial close processes


• Ensure the accuracy, completeness and integrity of the general ledger


• Maintain strong financial controls and accounting policies across the business

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting exercises


• Monitor financial performance against budget and provide detailed variance analysis


• Provide management with financial insights, recommendations and performance analysis


• Support long-term financial planning and strategic business initiatives


• Work closely with senior stakeholders to understand financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement

Compliance & Taxation

• Ensure compliance with VAT and other applicable tax regulations


• Oversee tax filings, submissions and related regulatory reporting


• Maintain and enhance financial policies, procedures and internal controls


• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisers and regulatory authorities as required


• Ensure the business remains compliant with relevant financial and regulatory requirements

Management Reporting & Financial Analysis

• Prepare high-quality financial reports, dashboards and management information for senior leadership


• Analyse financial performance, trends and key business KPIs


• Support reporting to the Board, Audit Committee and senior management


• Provide financial analysis and modelling to support business cases and strategic initiatives


• Translate financial data into clear, commercially relevant insights and recommendations

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline


• A professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent


• At least 8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience


• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, taxation, budgeting, financial reporting and financial controls


• Proven experience managing financial reporting and month-end/year-end processes


• Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities


• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills


• The ability to work effectively with senior management and provide commercially focused financial advice


• A hands-on and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
