Job summary

Rakbank is seeking an experienced agile leader to act as scrum master and proxy product owner for onboarding and everyday banking squads. You will facilitate ceremonies, drive backlog refinement, and ensure high-quality delivery aligned with business strategy.

You will collaborate with business, design, and tech teams, manage risks, and maintain momentum across multiple squads while upholding strict QA and UAT processes to ensure reliable releases.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in digital delivery, product ownership, or agile delivery roles.
• Proven experience acting as scrum master and proxy product owner for digital squads, ideally within banking or financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree required; relevant certifications (e.g., PSM, CSPO, SAFe) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as scrum master for onboarding and everyday banking squads, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Serve as proxy product owner, managing the backlog, writing/refining user stories, and accepting work against defined acceptance criteria.
• Act as the number two to the Digital Product Owner for Onboarding and Everyday Banking, deputising in ceremonies, stakeholder forums, and decision-making when required.
• Translate product strategy and business objectives into a clear, prioritised backlog with well-defined acceptance criteria for sprint delivery.
• Remove impediments and unblock delivery teams, coordinating across business, design, technology, and third parties to maintain momentum.
• Manage sprint scope, dependencies, and risks, ensuring commitments are realistic and delivery remains predictable.
• Engage stakeholders across the bank to gather requirements, validate solutions, and align business needs with delivered functionality.
• Track and report squad performance, delivery metrics, and product KPIs, highlighting risks and trade-offs to the Digital Product Owner.
• Protect quality through rigorous acceptance testing, UAT coordination, and release readiness reviews.
