Job summary

AECOM in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates seeks a Senior Advisor - Safety, Health & Environment to champion safety culture and environmental stewardship. You will guide occupational health and safety matters, ensuring operations comply with UAE regulations and international best practices.

Responsibilities include developing policies, conducting inspections, investigating incidents, delivering training, and maintaining meticulous records to enable data‑driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in safety, health, and environment advisory or management roles
• Strong knowledge of UAE and GCC occupational health and safety regulations
• Advanced proficiency in analyzing safety data and trends
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to maintain detailed safety documentation and compliance records
• Experience coordinating with regulatory authorities and external partners

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine safety, health, and environmental policies and programs
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
• Deliver safety training and awareness programs at all levels
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and company policies
• Maintain safety records and reports for regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with operations to integrate safety into daily work
• Analyze performance metrics to identify risks and improve outcomes
• Lead hazard assessments for new projects and changes
• Provide expert safety guidance to senior leadership
