Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Advisor Safety, Health & Environment for our Abu Dhabi operations. You will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety, health, and environmental programs across our activities, ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws and international standards.

You will conduct hazard assessments, perform audits, investigate incidents, and deliver training while maintaining meticulous records and driving continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in safety, health, and environment management.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE labor laws and safety standards.
• Experience with hazard identification and risk mitigation.
• Strong incident investigation and root-cause analysis skills.
• NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures aligned with UAE regulations and international best practices.
• Conduct hazard assessments and risk analyses to identify potential dangers and mitigation strategies.
• Perform audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate incidents, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
• Design and deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels.
• Maintain detailed safety performance records and documentation.
• Collaborate with operations to integrate safety into planning and execution.
• Monitor safety programs and drive continuous improvement.
