Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Advisor - Safety, Health & Environment to lead safety initiatives on-site in Abu Dhabi. You will drive a proactive safety culture, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with UAE and international best practices.

You will collaborate with site teams to embed safety into daily work, investigate incidents, and deliver effective safety training and programs across projects. AECOM values rigorous safety performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in safety, health, and environment roles with demonstrated site supervision and operational responsibilities.
• Proven track record conducting safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations in construction, industrial, or similar environments.
• Hands-on experience working in multicultural, site-based operational settings with diverse workforce management.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement site-specific safety programs and protocols.
• Strong knowledge of UAE and GCC occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive site inspections and audits, documenting findings and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific safety protocols and programs.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses with evidence-based corrective actions.
• Deliver engaging safety training and awareness programs for site personnel at all levels.
• Ensure strict compliance with UAE occupational health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
