Job summary

TALENTMATE is assisting an established defence technology client in Abu Dhabi to recruit a senior hardware quality engineer. You will sit between RF, firmware, FPGA and software teams and decide when a product is ready to hand over to operations.

This on-site role focuses on hardware and RF systems testing, first article inspection, BOM generation and production support. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, perform meticulous measurements, and ensure long-term product support and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years in a comparable hardware or RF test, validation or product quality role.
• Prior experience in military equipment development.
• Measurement and characterisation with lab equipment including spectrum analyser, network analyser, signal generator, thermal camera, multimeters and data capture.
• Good working understanding of multi-discipline systems covering RF, power, electronics and software.
• Able to collaborate closely with hardware, RF, firmware, FPGA and software development teams.
• Able to identify potential issues in a system configuration and action corrective measures.
• Bill of materials generation, first article inspection and production standby for manufacturing issues.
• Working with Altium and Cadence AWR.
• Detail-oriented, self-directed, able to work under pressure and to firm deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Verify quality and system readiness for handover to operations.
• Characterise and validate multi-discipline systems spanning RF, power, electronics and software.
• Identify weaknesses in a system and plan mitigation rather than just logging defects.
• Work with hardware, RF, firmware, FPGA and software teams to drive corrective action.
• Generate bills of materials, run first article inspection, and stand by production to resolve manufacturing issues.
