Job summary

AECOM seeks a Senior Resident Engineer to lead construction supervision and contract administration of major stormwater drainage, irrigation infrastructure, and pumping stations in Dubai. The role demands extensive on-site management of complex civil works in line with contract requirements, drawings, and quality/HSE standards.

Ideal candidates have 20+ years of infrastructure experience, 10+ years in a Resident Engineer role, UAE/GCC familiarity, and strong knowledge of FIDIC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or Water Engineering preferred.
• Professional Engineer registration preferred.
• PMP Certification is advantageous.
• Minimum 20 years of professional experience in infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 10 years in a Resident Engineer/Senior Resident Engineer role.
• Proven experience in stormwater drainage, irrigation networks, pumping stations, and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and construction supervision.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction supervision of stormwater drainage, irrigation, pumping stations, and related works.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specs, contract, QA/QC, and HSE.
• Monitor progress, contractor performance, and schedules.
• Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, method statements, and inspections.
• Administer contract; review variations, claims, payments, and extension of time.
• Coordinate with Client, Contractor, authorities, and stakeholders.
• Lead site meetings, inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Provide leadership to the supervision team and report progress to Client.
