Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer in the United Arab Emirates to lead construction supervision and contract administration for major stormwater, irrigation, and pumping station projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or Water Engineering preferred.
• Professional Engineer registration preferred.
• PMP Certification advantageous.
• Minimum 20 years of professional experience in infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 10 years in a Resident Engineer/Senior Resident Engineer role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the construction supervision of stormwater drainage, irrigation, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure works.
• Ensure all works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, and HSE regulations.
• Monitor construction progress, contractor performance, and project delivery against approved schedules and milestones.
• Review and approve contractor submissions, including shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests.
• Administer the construction contract, including review of variations, claims, payment applications, and extension of time requests.
• Coordinate with the Client, Contractor, utility authorities, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and contractual matters.
• Lead site meetings, inspections, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Ensure effective implementation of QA/QC procedures and timely resolution of non-conformances.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and management of the supervision team to ensure successful project delivery.
• Prepare and present regular progress, technical, and contractual reports to the Client.
