Job summary

AECOM Middle East Limited Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Senior Resident Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Lead and supervise the site team, coordinate with client and authorities, and ensure QA/QC and contract compliance across bridges, tunnels, roads, and utilities.

You will oversee day-to-day construction activities, review technical submittals, lead meetings, and ensure proper handover and documentation for project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in bridge, tunnel, road, and infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in site supervision and construction management.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, QA/QC procedures, and contract requirements.
• Good understanding of project planning, progress monitoring, and construction coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the site supervision team and oversee day-to-day construction activities.
• Supervise and monitor construction works for bridges, tunnels, roads, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Ensure works follow drawings, specs, method statements, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate with Contractor, Client, Authorities, and other stakeholders for smooth execution.
• Monitor progress, programme, resources, and construction performance.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, RFIs, technical submittals, and other docs.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures and inspection requirements are properly implemented.
• Identify and resolve technical, construction, and coordination issues promptly.
• Lead site meetings, progress meetings, and technical coordination meetings.
• Monitor quality, HSE compliance, progress, and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces between civil, structural, and utilities works.
• Review completed works and ensure testing, inspection, documentation, handover requirements.
• Provide technical and managerial support to the Project Manager for successful delivery.

Job Description:
