Job summary

AECOM in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, seeks a highly experienced Senior Resident Engineer to lead and manage large-scale construction projects for private developers, ensuring quality, safety and regulatory compliance.

You will provide on-site engineering leadership, review designs and drawings, manage budgets, mentor junior engineers and liaise with authorities to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• PE license or equivalent required.
• 20+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years in a senior resident engineer role.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site engineering leadership throughout all phases of construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors and clients to meet goals and timelines.
• Review and approve engineering designs, drawings and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
• Resolve technical issues and provide innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Manage project budgets and resources effectively.
• Prepare and present detailed progress reports to stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on the team.
• Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies as needed.
