CBRE Excellerate in the UAE seeks an experienced refrigeration and HVAC technician to perform advanced maintenance across managed facilities, with emphasis on DX systems, freezers, cold rooms, VRV/VRF and split units. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive and reactive maintenance, and support emergency call-outs.

The role requires an ITI/ Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, at least 5 years hands-on experience, a valid UAE driving licence, and UAE/FMC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience in refrigeration and HVAC maintenance.
• Valid UAE driving licence is required.
• UAE/GCC Facilities Management experience preferred.

1. About the position

The main purpose of this role is to perform advanced refrigeration and HVAC maintenance across CBRE Excellerate managed facilities, with particular responsibility for DX systems, freezers, cold rooms, VRV/VRF and split units. The role independently diagnoses complex faults, carries out preventive and reactive maintenance, supports emergency call-outs and ensures safe, reliable and energy-efficient operation of refrigeration systems.

2. Decision Making Authority

This position has the authority to:

• Diagnose refrigeration and HVAC faults and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Isolate equipment and stop work where an unsafe condition is identified.
• Recommend replacement of defective components and technical improvements.
• Verify system operation following repairs and maintenance.
• Escalate major failures, refrigerant issues and operational risks to the Technical Supervisor.

3. Experience / Education

• ITI/Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, HVAC or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 5+ years relevant hands-on experience in refrigeration and HVAC maintenance.
• Strong experience with DX units, freezers, cold rooms, VRV/VRF systems and split units.
• Valid UAE driving licence required.
• UAE/GCC Facilities Management experience preferred.

4. Skills Required

• Advanced refrigeration troubleshooting
• Brazing, pressure testing, vacuuming and refrigerant charging
• Electrical/control fault diagnosis
• Use of HVAC/refrigeration test instruments
• CAFM/work-order reporting and basic Microsoft Office

• DX refrigeration cycle and controls
• Cold room and freezer systems
• VRV/VRF and split AC systems

• PTW, LOTO and HSE requirements
