Job summary

Parsons in Dubai seeks a Viaduct Structural Engineer (Rail) to lead inspection, supervise bridges and viaducts on a major rail project. You will coordinate with design engineers and construction teams to ensure safety, quality and schedule compliance on site.

The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, 10+ years of bridge experience in metro rail or large infrastructure, and fluent English. Night shifts and strong documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in design review and supervising bridge construction.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and bridge construction techniques.
• Knowledge of materials used in bridge construction.
• Ability to review and justify material submissions, analyze laboratory and technical reports, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology and project software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Night shift availability and site coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Resident Engineer and supervise construction of bridges, viaducts, and related items.
• Oversee structural aspects of bridge construction ensuring alignment with plans and specs.
• Coordinate activities with other engineers and the construction supervision team.
• Review shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, and correspondence related to bridges.
• Provide technical guidance to construction teams to meet safety, quality, and schedule goals.
• Coordinate with design engineers to resolve issues and ensure records accuracy.
