Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor with extensive pre-contract management experience to join our team in the UAE (Dubai/Abu Dhabi). The role focuses on cost planning, BOQ preparation, tender analysis, andDriving value engineering to optimize project costs.

A strong background in hospitality, residential, or infrastructure sectors is required. The ideal candidate will have 12–15 years post-degree experience, familiarity with FIDIC contracts, and proficiency in CostX or similar QS

Qualifications

• Experience with FIDIC Contracts preferred.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized university.
• 12 to 15 years of post-degree experience in pre-contract and commercial management.
• Sector experience in hospitality, residential buildings or infrastructure.
• Consultant and/or client-side experience of at least 4 years.
• Proficient in QS software (CostX or similar).
• Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent English technical writing ability and comprehensive project background.

Your role

Pre-Contract Duties

• Oversee feasibility concept schematic and detailed design cost planning and estimating.
• Lead preparation of Bills of Quantities Pre-Tender Estimates and Monthly Cost Reports.
• Drive Value Engineering to optimize costs and project efficiency.
• Manage tender processes including preparation of Instructions to Tenderers tender analysis and contract documentation.
• Lead commercial negotiations and attend design and commercial meetings to support pre-contract stages.

About you
