Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team on high-profile projects across UAE. You will organize measurement tasks, draft estimates and cost plans, and prepare BOQs with preambles and general requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and up to 2 years of experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD measurement and MS Excel. Collaboration across hotels, residential, retail, and mixed-use developments is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD measurement and MS Excel.
• Familiar with cost planning and BOQ using POMI & CESMM.

Responsibilities

• Organise measurement tasks when preparing estimates / cost plans.
• Draft estimates / cost plans for review.
• Prepare BOQ including Preambles / General Requirements.
• Undertake market research for updating unit rates for estimating.
• On-site and off-site quantity verifications for payments and variations.
• Check and verify invoices for sub-contracts and payments.
• Maintain a register of payments.
• Verify materials on/off site and delivery for payment approval.
• Prepare and maintain sub-contractor agreements and payments.
• On-site verification of Final Accounts and recommendations to client.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monthly cost reports.
• Estimate costs for design variations and alternative solutions.

Job Description:

We are currently looking for experienced Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team to work on newly awarded projects across varying sectors and various locations within UAE. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing team on high profile projects within in UAE.

Your role

• Will be responsible for organising measurement tasks when preparing estimates / cost plans.
• Draft estimates / cost plans for review.
• Preparation of BOQ including drafting Preambles / General Requirements.
• Undertake market review / research for compiling and updating unit rates for estimating.
• Responsible for on-site and off-site quantity verifications and confirmation with regards to payments and variation works.
• Responsible for checking and verification of all invoices of the said sub packages on site.
• Maintain a register of payments.
• Check the materials on and off site and verified delivery and acceptance from the client's representative for payment approval.
• Prepare and maintain records of all sub-contractors agreement and payments.
• On site verification of Final Accounts submitted by the Contractors and selected Sub Contractors and Suppliers, adjusting as necessary and providing recommendations to the Client.
• Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts.
• Preparation of monthly cost report and cashflow forecasts.
• Undertake cost estimates for alternative design solutions.
• Undertake estimates of variations.

About You

• Bachelor's degree.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Computer literate (Autocad measurement, MS Excel & Word etc.).
• Knowledge and understanding of the following:
• Cost planning (concept design, schematic design & detailed design).
• Measurement / BOQ in POMI & CESMM.
• Collation of Contract Documentation.
• Understanding of FDIC Forms of Contracts.
• Hotels, Residential, Retail, Mixed-use developments.
• Demonstrate good understanding of compiling unit rates for estimating.
