Job summary

Confidential in Dubai seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial, contractual and financial management on projects, ensuring profit targets and cash optimization.

You will handle procurement, subcontractor management, cost/value reconciliations, and risk tracking, while coordinating with project teams to maximize outcomes.

Requires a relevant degree and 7–10 years in joinery or construction, with strong contract and procurement experience.

Qualifications

• BSc / Higher Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Engineering is required.
• 7–10 years of joinery/assembly industry experience.
• Strong contract administration and procurement knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Sole responsibility for a project or a number of smaller projects.
• All Quantity Surveying duties including measurement, valuation and agreement of work sections.
• Preparation of interim applications for payment and internal valuations.
• Procurement, sub-contract tendering and post-tender evaluation including price/quality comparisons.
• Preparation of procurement schedules and monitoring of progress.
• Administration, measurement and settlement of subcontract accounts.
• Delay administration including EOT and loss/expense claims.
• Negotiate with clients and consultants on commercial matters.
• Advise on contractual implications of operational actions.
• Prepare cost/value reconciliation reports and cash flow forecasts.
• Advise on commercial risks using risk registers and tools.
• Collaborate with operations to develop budgets and forecasts.
• Identify changes/variations and prepare submissions per contract.
• Attend meetings and prepare commercial reports for discussions.
• Prepare, submit and agree final accounts to maximize business outcomes.
