Job summary

Designsmith Interior Works LLC seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor – Joinery in Dubai to manage cost estimation, take-offs, BOQ preparation and procurement support for joinery, furniture and fit-out projects.

The role requires UAE experience (3–5 years) in joinery or interior contracting, strong knowledge of materials, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel. You will work with design, production, procurement and project teams to keep projects within budget and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in quantity surveying, civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 3–5 years UAE experience in joinery, furniture manufacturing, fit-out, or interior contracting.
• Strong knowledge of joinery materials, furniture production, and fit-out works.
• Experience in quantity take-offs, estimation, BOQ preparation, and cost control.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and estimation software.
• Strong understanding of contracts, variations, and commercial management.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Prepare BOQs, cost plans, and project estimates for joinery and fit-out works.
• Analyze project drawings and specifications to identify scope, risks, and cost implications.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare and submit commercial proposals and tender documentation.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate and manage variations, claims, and change orders.
• Conduct material quantity verification and cost analysis.
• Coordinate with procurement teams for material sourcing and cost optimization.
• Support project teams with commercial and contractual matters.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and project financial updates.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and commercial standards.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
