Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support commercial management of civil infrastructure projects in Dubai, UAE. You will perform quantity measurement, cost control, and payment certification, ensuring compliance with FIDIC contracts and project requirements.

You will work with engineering, construction, and project management teams on roads, drainage, sewerage, and utilities, preparing BOQs, reviewing drawings, evaluating variations, and assisting final accounts to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, contract administration, and cost management.
• Experience on infrastructure, utilities, roads, and civil projects.
• Strong experience in BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and payment certification.
• Knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract.

Responsibilities

• Quantity Measurement and BOQ Management: prepare/review BOQs and take-offs, measure quantities for roads, utilities, drainage and related works, verify against drawings.
• Contract Administration and Payment Certification: review interim payments, assess completed works, review monthly statements and MOS submissions.
• Variations, Claims and Contractual Assessments: evaluate variations, rate analyses, claims, and EOT submissions.
• Cost Control and Financial Reporting: monitor budgets, prepare cost reports/forecasts, track cash flow.
• Project Coordination and Commercial Meetings: coordinate with Resident Engineer, Commercial Manager, planning engineers, and site engineers; attend meetings and present cost information.
