Job summary

TUV Rheinland Middle East LLC seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to lead QA/QC for a major cross-country pipeline project in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure compliance with project specs, international standards, and client requirements, while guiding site teams and inspectors through complex construction activities.

Ideal candidates will have 12–15+ years in Oil & Gas QA/QC, strong welding, NDT, coating, and documentation skills, and familiarity with API/ASME/ISO standards.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas, preferably in cross-country pipeline projects.
• Strong knowledge of pipeline welding, NDT, coating, hydrotesting and related construction activities.
• Familiarity with API, ASME, ISO and client specifications.
• Experience in QA/QC documentation, NCR management and audits.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor QA/QC program for cross-country pipeline construction activities.
• Review ITPs, Method Statements, Quality Plans and inspection procedures for compliance.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement and client teams on quality matters.
• Monitor trenching, welding, NDT, coating, testing and reinstatement activities.
• Review welding/NDT documentation, material certificates and quality records.
• Raise NCRs and drive corrective/preventive actions to closure.
• Participate in internal, client and third-party quality audits and inspections.
• Provide guidance to QA/QC Inspectors and site teams.

Job Description Senior Quality Engineer We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join a major Cross Country Pipeline Project in Abu Dhabi UAE The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all pipeline construction and installation activities comply with approved project specifications international standards client requirements and the project Quality Management System

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the project Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) program for cross-country pipeline construction activities.
• Review and ensure compliance with approved ITPs, Method Statements, Quality Plans, specifications and inspection procedures.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, subcontractors, client and consultant teams on quality-related matters.
• Monitor pipeline construction activities including trenching, stringing, welding, NDT, coating, lowering, backfilling, hydrotesting and reinstatement.
• Review welding and NDT documentation, inspection reports, material certificates and quality records.
• Conduct inspections and ensure that all activities are performed in accordance with approved procedures and applicable codes and standards.
• Identify quality issues, raise and follow up NCRs, observations and corrective/preventive actions until satisfactory closure.
• Participate in internal, client and third-party quality audits and inspections.
• Monitor subcontractor and supplier quality performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain and review Quality Control Records, inspection reports, test reports, dossiers and turnover documentation.
• Ensure proper implementation of project specifications and applicable international standards such as API, ASME, ISO and relevant pipeline codes.
• Provide technical guidance to QA/QC Inspectors and construction teams.
• Prepare quality reports, statistics and other documentation required by project management and the client.
• Support final Mechanical Completion, Pre-Commissioning and Handover activities from a quality perspective.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering or relevant technical discipline.
• 12 – 15+ years of relevant QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas, preferably in cross-country pipeline projects.
• Strong experience in pipeline construction quality control and inspection.
• Good knowledge of pipeline welding, NDT, coating, hydrotesting and associated construction activities.
• Familiarity with international codes, standards and client specifications.
• Strong experience in quality documentation, NCR management and audit coordination.
• UAE/GCC project experience will be an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
