Job summary

The Emirates Group seeks a Quality Engineering leader to guide testing across airline domain products. You will drive automation, CI/CD, and integration testing for UI, API, and contract tests using Java, working with cross-functional teams including architects and software engineers.

Develop and maintain robust test frameworks, ensure quality gates, and coordinate with release trains to validate cross-system interactions in a high-availability airline environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or Honours in Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in Information Technology.
• Extensive experience with airline commercial systems (Availability & Inventory Management, Schedule Management, Reservation Systems, PSS).
• Strong understanding of airline concepts (flight schedules, inventory classes, booking classes, seat allocation, availability calculations, codeshares, disruption management).
• Leads quality engineering activities across multiple products in airline domains.
• Hands-on in developing and maintaining robust UI, API, integration, and contract automation frameworks using Java and modern testing technologies.
• Experience validating complex integrations between PSS, inventory, scheduling, distribution, and downstream consumer apps.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project members (architects and software engineers) to translate requirements into testing strategies.
• Provide early feedback with product owners on risks in requirements and design.
• Coordinate with Quality Engineering to ensure non-production environments and test data are available across feature teams.
• Liaise with release train teams to manage testing of cross dependencies.
• Ensure Test Tools are configured to collect metrics for dashboards at program and enterprise level.
• Support and guide engineers to write and maintain automated functional tests via CI.
• Develop and adapt automation frameworks and test harnesses for end-to-end tests.
• Facilitate setup and adherence to Quality Gate requirements.

• Work with the Quality Engineering Chapter team to ensure non-production environments and test data are available to support the complete set of testing activities across feature teams

• Ensure Test Tools are configured correctly and accurately to support the collection of metrics for program and enterprise-wide dashboards
• Support and guide Software Engineers to write and maintain automated functional tests through continuous integration
• Implement maintain and adapt automation frameworks and test harnesses to ensure robust end to end tests
• Facilitate the set up and adherence to Quality Gate requirements
