Job summary

Astek Middle East in Dubai is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to ensure the quality of enterprise-level eCommerce solutions for the airline and travel industry. You will bring strong hands-on expertise in manual and automated testing, with a focus on Selenium WebDriver and testing web and mobile applications.

You will design test plans and cases, implement QA strategies, validate releases, manage defects, and work closely with developers, business analysts, product teams and customers to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related engineering discipline.
• +5 years of strong professional experience in Software Quality Assurance, ideally at Senior QA Engineer level.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience testing both web and mobile applications.
• Knowledge of HTML and XML.
• Basic SQL knowledge, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with Source Control Management tools such as Git, SVN, or Azure DevOps.
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

• Validate software releases and provide Go/No-Go recommendations.
• Identify, report, track, and verify defects with development teams.
• Maintain and continuously improve the regression test repository.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with customers.
• Communicate testing progress, quality risks, defects, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product teams, and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across both manual and automated testing, with particular expertise in Selenium WebDriver and testing web and mobile applications.

You will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies, developing automated test scripts, validating software releases, managing defects, and working closely with developers, business analysts, product teams, and customers to ensure high-quality software delivery.
