Job summary

Gardinia Contracting, a Dubai-based construction leader, seeks a Site Engineer (MEP) to supervise pool MEP installation and coordinate with civil, finishing, and landscaping teams on site in Dubai. You will ensure work aligns with approved drawings, method statements, and project specs while upholding quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on site experience in UAE MEP swimming pool projects.
• Contracting firm experience in UAE is essential.
• Strong knowledge of pool MEP systems and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day MEP installation works on swimming pool project sites
• Direct and monitor subcontractors and site laborers to ensure productivity, quality, and safety compliance
• Study and interpret approved shop drawings, method statements, and construction documents related to pool MEP systems
• Coordinate with civil, finishing, and landscaping teams on site to ensure seamless MEP integration
• Conduct regular quality checks at all stages of MEP installation works
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) for consultant and client approvals at key project milestones
• Raise and follow up on RFIs and technical queries with the Project Engineer for prompt site-level resolutions
• Participate in testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of all pool MEP systems including pumps, filtration, dosing, heating, and underwater lighting
• Verify all delivered MEP materials and equipment comply with approved submittals before permitting installation
• Maintain material tracking logs and coordinate with procurement to avoid site delays
• Enforce HSE compliance on site — conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure all workers wear appropriate PPE
• Report any near misses, unsafe conditions, or incidents immediately to the HSE team
• Maintain daily site reports, manpower logs, progress photographs, and equipment usage records
• Assist the Project Engineer in preparing weekly and monthly progress reports

As a Site engineer, you will be responsible for supervising and managing all MEP installation works on swimming pool project sites on a day-to-day basis. Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on site experience in MEP works within swimming pool projects in the UAE
• Mandatory experience working with UAE-based contracting firms — contracting execution background is essential
• Strong working knowledge of swimming pool MEP systems — filtration, water circulation, chemical dosing, chlorination, pool heating, and backwash systems
• Solid understanding of pump room layouts, underwater lighting, and automated pool control systems
• Good knowledge of plumbing and drainage systems related to pool works
• Basic understanding of electrical systems — pump control panels, earthing, bonding, and underwater electrical safety standards
