Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Manager - QA/QC to oversee QA/QC for a major infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi. You will lead a team of QA/QC professionals, develop policies, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with regulatory and project standards.

Responsibilities include inspections, audits, data analysis, CAPA implementation, and collaboration with engineers and contractors to set and meet quality benchmarks. On-site role with extensive governance and reporting duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of QA/QC management experience in infrastructure or construction sectors.
• Proven expertise in quality assurance methodologies, standards, and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and metrics.
• Demonstrated experience in process improvement, optimization, and continuous enhancement initiatives.
• Proficiency in CAPA implementation and root cause analysis.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in quality management systems and documentation practices.
• Experience with testing protocols, inspection procedures, and quality control tools.
• Strong report-writing and communication skills.
• Preferred: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or similar certifications.
• Preferred: Six Sigma, Lean or other process improvement methodologies.
• Preferred: Experience with quality management software and data analysis tools.
• Preferred: Budget management and vendor management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage QA/QC policies, procedures, and protocols for infrastructure projects
• Lead and mentor a team of QA/QC specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
• Conduct inspections, audits, and testing of infrastructure components to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process improvement
• Prepare detailed quality reports and documentation for stakeholder review and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to establish quality benchmarks and acceptance criteria
• Implement CAPA to address quality issues and prevent recurrence
• Manage vendor and supplier quality assessments to ensure consistent delivery of materials and services
• Optimize QA/QC processes to enhance efficiency while maintaining rigorous quality standards
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure seamless integration of quality standards across all operational phases
