Job summary

Al Jomaih Energy & Water (AEW) in Taweelah, Abu Dhabi, seeks a QC Engineer to oversee quality for a 2400 MW greenfield CCGT project. You will implement QA/QC plans, conduct inspections, and coordinate with project teams on quality controls across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree, CQE/CQA or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor desirable, 3–5 years in QA/QC for power/EPC projects, and familiarity with ASME/API/ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• CQE or CQA certification or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor is highly desirable.
• Additional certifications in NDT and welding inspection are a plus.
• 3–5 years of QA/QC experience in mechanical and piping for Power (CCGT) or EPC projects.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 QMS and audits; knowledge of ASME/API/ISO standards.
• Experience with QA/QC software such as Aconex/Procore/Primavera is advantageous.
• Proficiency in NDT methods and interpretation of results.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage QA/QC plans and ITPs.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quality performance.
• Conduct inspections of construction activities, materials, and equipment.
• Prepare quality control reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Provide training on QC procedures and best practices.
• Identify and manage non-conformities, implementing corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma approaches.
• Carry out tasks assigned by the QA/QC Manager.
