Job summary

Al Jomaih Energy & Water (AEW) seeks a Mechanical/Piping Engineer for a greenfield 2400 MW CCGT project near Abu Dhabi. You will oversee piping design, manage interfaces with civil, mechanical and electrical disciplines, and ensure compliance with international codes.

The role requires 5-7 years in power/EPC piping, strong CAD skills and knowledge of HRSG and turbine systems. Site-based work in Taweelah, Abu Dhabi, UAE, with approximately 3–4 months duration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or piping engineering.
• 5-7 years of proven piping engineering experience in Power (CCGT) or EPC projects.
• PE license highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of turbine systems, HRSG, BOP, cooling water systems and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Review EPC contractor piping design deliverables (isometrics, GA drawings, stress analysis, material specs).
• Ensure design complies with codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, EN).
• Validate pipe supports, routing and interfaces with equipment and structures.
• Supervise piping fabrication and erection on-site.
• Review method statements and ITPs; participate in hydrotests, flushing, NDT.
• Maintain safety practices and participate in toolbox talks and site HSSE meetings.
