Job summary

Al Jomaih Energy & Water (AEW) seeks an Electrical Engineer for a greenfield CCGT project near Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role covers planning, design, procurement support, construction oversight, and QA across electrical systems for a 2.4 GW plant.

The successful candidate will lead multi-disciplinary collaboration, ensure compliance with standards, and deliver detailed documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required.
• 5-7 years of proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in power generation (CCGT) or EPC projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and standards.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning: develop and review electrical engineering project plans and align with objectives and timelines.
• Design Analysis: review design documents from EPC contractor and third parties; attend design review meetings.
• Equipment Selection and Sourcing: assist in selecting electrical equipment and collaborating with procurement.
• Construction Oversight: supervise electrical construction to ensure compliance with specifications and quality.
• Quality Assurance: implement quality control measures and conduct regular inspections.
• Budget and Cost Management: work with project managers to develop and monitor budgets.
• Documentation and Reporting: maintain up-to-date records and prepare progress reports.
• Stakeholder Communication: liaise with other teams and provide updates to management.
