Job summary

Penspen is seeking a QA/QC Coordinator in Abu Dhabi with strong PMC experience to supervise quality activities across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases. You will ensure compliance with client specs, international standards, and regulatory requirements, delivering robust quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, 10+ years in engineering, and 4+ years in supervising QMS activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or HND with a QA/QC certificate from an internally recognised agency.
• 10+ years of engineering activities, ideally within the oil and gas industry.
• 4+ years supervising O&G projects quality control activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001, client specs, and project requirements.
• Review EPC contractor Quality Plans, ITPs, Method Statements, and QA/QC procedures.
• Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (API, ASME, ASTM, AWS, ISO, IEC).
• Conduct quality audits, inspections, surveillance, and assessments across EPC phases.
• Review and close NCRs, CAPA, and quality deviations.
• Coordinate vendor inspections, FAT, SAT, and material inspections.
• Monitor contractor and vendor quality performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, and quality meetings.
• Prepare quality reports, KPIs, audit findings, and management reports for clients.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
