Job summary

Tetrix in New York City and Montreal is seeking an experienced backend engineer to own the data-heavy backend of our AI-native platform. You will build scalable Python services, APIs, and ingestion pipelines that turn private market data into real-time insights for institutional investors.

You’ll collaborate with product and clients, shape technical direction, and mentor teammates while maintaining security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building scalable services or production systems.
• Strong experience with asynchronous Python, APIs, and data-heavy workloads.
• Experience in fast-paced or entrepreneurial environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build data models, backend infrastructure, and scalable APIs in Python.
• Develop robust data ingestion pipelines pulling data from multiple portals.
• Collaborate with product and clients to shape features and tech strategy.
• Mentor teammates and help set engineering standards and best practices.
