Job summary

AIG MEA Limited in Dubai seeks a Senior Commercial Property Underwriter to manage renewal portfolios, price risks, and drive profitable growth across the portfolio. You will collaborate with PCM, regional heads, actuaries, engineers, brokers and claims teams to optimize risk selection and pricing strategies.

The role requires extensive CP underwriting experience, market knowledge, and the ability to influence decisions while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Master/Bachelor degree in Engineering management or business management.
• Experience in CP underwriting and Insurance industry knowledge.
• Extensive underwriting market knowledge and Claims experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage renewal portfolio and secure new business.
• Achieve budgeted top line production and bottom line results through underwriting decisions.
• Educate local business community on property products and presentations and seminars for clients.
• Maintain awareness of legal and regulatory environment and complete mandatory AIG trainings.
• Report on budget metrics and prepare forecasts on future periods.
• Keep up-to-date with market changes and develop strong client/broker relationships through regular market meetings and events.
• Portfolio analysis.
• Contribute to developing the expertise and knowledge of junior underwriters across regions.
• Participate in presentations, seminars and internal trainings.
• Conduct regular engineering surveys with risk engineers for large/high-hazard risks.
