Job summary

AIG MEA Limited in Dubai invites a Senior Commercial Property Underwriter to join our regional team. You will assess complex property risks, set terms and conditions, and support portfolio performance.

The ideal candidate has a Master or Bachelor in Engineering Management or Business Management, CP underwriting experience, insurance knowledge, and claims exposure, with strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor degree in Engineering Management or Business Management.
• Experience in CP underwriting and Insurance industry knowledge.
• Claims experience and understanding of underwriting markets.

Responsibilities

• Manage existing renewal portfolio and secure new business accounts; maintain strong client relationships.
• Achieve budgeted top-line and bottom-line results through sound underwriting decisions.
• Educate local business community on property products and present seminars for clients.
• Maintain awareness of legal and regulatory environment; complete mandatory trainings.
• Report on budget metrics and forecast future periods with accurate production tracking.
• Keep abreast of market changes and trends; build relationships with clients and brokers through regular meetings and events.
• Coordinate with Accounting and Claims departments; provide information for meetings.
• Participate in presentations, seminars and internal technical trainings.
• Conduct regular engineering surveys with risk engineers focusing on large/complex exposures.
