Job summary

Wood is recruiting a Lead Project Engineer to strengthen our UAE team in Sharjah with potential trips to Iraq. The role focuses on delivering project and engineering excellence on onshore capital projects, including EPC management and support from Wood Iraq and UAE offices.

The successful candidate will lead technical reviews, coordinate disciplines, and drive timely delivery while maintaining safety, quality, and project controls in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in oil and gas industries with experience in infrastructure EPC projects.
• Builds collaborative teams and leads by example in Wood’s values.
• Take ownership of scopes of work and coordinate engineering disciplines to deliver successful outcomes.
• Good soft and written English skills.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Project Manager.
• Lead engineering deliverables and reviews.
• Coordinate engineering disciplines and supporting functions.
• Manage schedules, budgets and milestones for assigned scopes.
• Oversee project delivery and interface with third parties to ensure input for deliverables.
