Job summary

Wood is seeking a Lead Project Engineer to strengthen our UAE team in Sharjah, with possible trips to Iraq. You will lead engineering deliverables, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and oversee scope, cost, and schedule to meet client expectations and Wood standards.

The role focuses on delivering onshore capital projects, supporting Wood's engineering and project management services, and contributing to the energy transition and safety culture within a global business.

Qualifications

• Degree in an engineering discipline required.
• Minimum 10+ years of oil & gas experience, with infrastructure EPC projects preferred.
• Able to lead teams and coordinate multiple disciplines across projects.
• Excellent written and spoken English; strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams and coordinate disciplines to deliver projects.
• Manage schedule, budget and scope for medium to large projects.
• Chair and minutes technical and project review meetings with clients and vendors.
• Ensure HSE, quality and client requirements are integrated into project execution.
• Interface with Project Control for cost control and schedule updates.
• Deliver projects in sequence and manage risks and change effectively.
