Rejlers International Engineering Solutions in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Project Engineer to drive project execution and bid support across oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, chemical, and related industries. The role reports to the Manager of Projects and requires strong leadership and technical expertise.

Responsibilities include coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, monitoring progress, ensuring QA/QC compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

We are now looking for a Senior Project Engineer to execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi - UAE.

Reports To

The Senior Project Engineer reports to Manager of Projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assists Project Managers in the execution of Projects
• Participate in Project review meetings, HSE Workshops, Design review meetings, etc
• Monitors work in progress and prepares weekly report of the status of each assignment
• Ensure project deliverable’s are submitted as per planned schedule
• Ensure interfaces/requirements between all disciplines are incorporated where required, to achieve objectives.
• Report project progress of close-out on weekly basis for presentation to management
• Interpret clients' requirements.
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to aid and technical support.
• Evaluate, organize and prioritize workload within a schedule.
• Able to demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge and awareness of details to be able to recognize when technical problems are developing in the various disciplines, and to initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Provide guidance and input during project implementation.
• Participate in project reviews, Pre-Start-up Reviews etc as required.
• Time to time review of technical proposals and make amendments as to make the proposal viable.
• Attends all the company-organized training courses when invited.
• Be aware of and obey the Company Health, Safety and Environmental, and Quality rules & perform the activities as per company Standards. Ensures safe, quality, timely and cost-efficient project implementation Ensures high resource capacity utilization and efficiency in projects.
• Suggests training and improvements on need basis.
• Ensures that software for projects are available and efficiently utilized
• Acts as frontline towards customers and subcontractors, suppliers in projects
• Reports efficiently, timely and pro-actively to the management on project activities, deviations and achievements (minimum weekly basis)
• Measures and reports reliably projects progress (PoC), productivity efficiency, remaining work, cost and time in order to have proper and trustworthy revenue and cost recognition and financial (Gross Margin) forecasting.
• Suggests and implements timely and actively improvements in overall performance.
• Leads project control, engineering and procurement work in his/her projects.
• Ensures the agreed project deliverables are delivered in accordance to agreed quality, scope and schedule.
• Verifies all scope variations from scope, time and cost perspective, and presents them to management.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Energy and Environmental objectives.

Preferred Skills & Requirements

• Engineering Graduate (BSc. or MSc.)
• Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in Project Management and Control out of which a minimum 10 years in the Oil & Gas (onshore and/or offshore), Refining, Petrochemical, and Chemical Industries
• Experienced in all stages of project delivery (Studies, FEED, and Detail Engineering)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent people management skills with a solid understanding of customer interface
• Willingness and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to overcome challenges and pressure during peak activities
• Fluent in the English language, both verbal and written
