Rejlers International Engineering Solutions in Abu Dhabi seeks a Lead Design Engineer, Instrumentation & Automation to lead and execute offshore projects. You will prepare instrumentation and automation documents, review design deliverables, and coordinate with discipline leads to ensure client approvals and compliance.

The role requires senior expertise in FEED/EPC within Oil & Gas, strong team leadership, and fluency in English. UAE residency and ADNOC project experience are preferred.

Qualificações

• Engineering Graduate (BSc. or MSc.)
• Minimum of 15 years relevant engineering experience in Instrumentation and Automation in Oil & Gas
• FEED and detailed engineering deliverables in brown field projects
• Minimum 8 years in a Senior Role
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an added advantage
• Experience with ADNOC Group projects
• Knowledge of telecommunications is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsabilidades

• Assist engineers/Design manager/Discipline Manager for project engineering design
• Verify source data, FEED drawings and concepts
• Prepare instrument and automation design deliverables using SPI, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and MS Office
• Coordinate with mechanical teams and vendors for technical evaluations
• Review package control systems and interfaces to plant control systems
• Plan project execution to meet schedule
• Manage engineers and designers, monitor budget manpower
• Prepare final engineering document deliverable register (EDDR) with relevant departments
• Participate in HAZOP, SIL studies
• Ensure compliance with laws, safety, environment and quality requirements
• Coordinate with procurement to obtain inputs for design
• Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, pre-commissioning

Reports To

The Lead Design Engineer, Instrumentation & Automation reports to Line Manager, Instrumentation and Automation and to the assigned Project Manager.

Job Overview

The Lead I&C Engineer-Offshore is responsible for handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas.

In your role, you will Lead and Execute multiple projects (local and international) and also you are responsible to prepare instrumentation and automation engineering documents and drawings as required for project and assigned by Discipline Manager.

You should have a desire to be at the forefront of the oil and gas sector and deliver outstanding projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

• To assist engineers / Design manager / Discipline Manager for the engineering design of the project.

• Ensure verification of source data, concept & FEED drawings / concepts as required.

• FEED and detailed Engineering deliverables in Brown field projects in Wellhead Towers, Process platforms and Islands where handling mechanical packages like chemical Injection packages, Biocide packages, Compressor Packages, Heater packages, Well Head Control Panel (WHCP), ESD/RTU panel, ICSS systems, Well head Oil production/Water Injection Instruments, SCADA Systems, High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS) etc.

• Align with Mechanical team and Vendors for the Technical Evaluation for Gas Compressor packages, Heater packages International std compliance review.

• Review of Package control systems, Anti surge Control System, Load sharing control and interface to plant control systems (ICSS/ VMS Systems).

• Plan the Project execution suit to deliver the projects within the project schedule.

• Managing the team of Engineers and designers, Monitoring and control the Budget Manhrs.

• Prepare and finalize the engineering document deliverable register (EDDR) in coordination with all relevant department / discipline, submission date as per Client / Contract requirements.

• Preparation of all instrument & automation related design deliverables through MS-office, Smart plant tools (SPI), AUTOCAD, Micro-station, and calculation tools like Instrucalc, SPI etc.

• Prepare / review the design outputs in the form of design computations, drawings and specification.

• Review of design document, drawings, etc. issued by various disciplines, design subcontractor and ensure Client’s approval.

• Responsible to ensure approval of all submitted documents and drawings and necessary coordination with Client.

• Overall responsible for inter discipline coordination, submission of necessary design documents/ deliverables and procedures to the Client.

• Participate HAZOP, SIL Study for the design has been carried out in accordance to the requirements.

• Ensure compliance to Laws and Statutory Regulations, Authority, Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Requirements for the project.

• Responsible to ensure unclear issues are resolved with Client through technical query in coordination with inter discipline leads, managers.

• In coordination with procurement department, ensure that procurement inputs required for design has been obtained from vendor and forwarded to the design subcontractor.

• Participation of FAT, SAT, commissioning, pre-commissioning.

• Coordinate for the preparation of as built.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years relevant engineering experience in Instrumentation and Automation competence in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Chemical Industries.

• FEED and detailed Engineering deliverables in Brown field projects in Wellhead Towers, Process platforms and Islands where handling mechanical packages like chemical Injection packages, Biocide packages, Compressor Packages, Heater packages, Well Head Control Panel (WHCP), ESD/RTU panel, ICSS systems, Well head Oil production/Water Injection Instruments, SCADA Systems, High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS) etc.

• Minimum 8 years in a Senior Role.

• Telecommunication knowledge would be an added advantage.

• Must have worked in FEED and EPC projects and delivered to ADNOC Group of Companies

• Working experience with reputed Engineering Consultant(s) would be an advantage
