Job summary

Worley is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to support PM and Engineering teams on Oil & Gas projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will be exposed to engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project controls while ensuring HSE, quality, and client requirements are met.

The role emphasizes coordination across disciplines, documentation, and progress reporting, with opportunities for UAE National development initiatives and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field.
• 3+ years of Oil & Gas or Petrochemical experience; GCC experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of project controls and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and Project Engineers in day-to-day project coordination and execution activities.
• Assist in coordinating activities between engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, project controls, HSE, QA/QC, and other project disciplines.
• Monitor project activities, deliverables, schedules, action items, and interfaces and follow up with relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in reviewing engineering documents, drawings, technical submissions, specifications, and project procedures.
• Participate in project progress, technical, coordination, and interface meetings and maintain action trackers.
• Support preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports and presentations.
• Assist in monitoring engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning progress against the approved project schedule.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal departments to obtain required project information and resolve routine issues.
• Support management of technical queries, RFIs, document reviews, correspondence, and project documentation.
• Assist in identifying project risks, constraints, delays, and interface issues and elevate them to the responsible Project Engineer.
• Support site activities, inspections, construction coordination, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities as required.
• Ensure activities are performed in accordance with approved project procedures, HSE requirements, quality standards, and applicable ADNOC/client requirements.
• Maintain proper records, trackers, reports, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in UAE National development initiative programs.

Job Purpose

The Junior Project Engineer will support the Project Management and Engineering teams in the planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and reporting of Oil & Gas projects. Qualification & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of three (3+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry including minimum two (2) years in GCC region.
