Job summary

Emirates Steel in Abu Dhabi seeks an Assistant Manager - Production to lead production, maintenance, and related functions within a 24/7, multi-shift environment. The role focuses on safety, quality, and process optimization to maximize plant utilization and ensure timely deliveries.

You will drive continuous improvement, support budgeting and CAPEX/OPEX management, and collaborate across departments to meet customer expectations and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience, preferably in the steel industry or a Section Mill Steel Plant
• Strong experience in steel manufacturing operations
• Strong leadership and planning skills
• Ability to manage production processes efficiently
• Strong understanding of quality, safety, and operational compliance
• Ability to ensure efficiency, product quality, and safety standards are consistently maintained

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage production, maintenance and related functions to achieve objectives.
• Support budgeting, cost management and capital planning processes.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure resources and safety standards are met.
• Drive continuous improvement in production performance and asset utilization.
