Capital.com is seeking a Senior Product Owner to own fraud prevention and transaction monitoring within a fast-growing fintech platform. You will define the roadmap, translate risk scenarios into concrete requirements, and lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Data, Compliance and Operations.

You will apply AI to automate routine alerts while ensuring robust controls for scalable growth in new markets.

Qualificações

• 5+ years in product ownership or management at senior level.
• Strong financial crime experience in fintech, banking, payments or regulated sector.
• Hands-on experience building detection capabilities (rules/models/monitoring).
• Experience using AI/automation to reduce manual review while handling complex cases.
• Strong data skills and ability to evaluate detection with historical data.
• Experience releasing changes safely with testing and staged rollouts.
• Excellent stakeholder management with Compliance and control owners.
• Experience building or growing a product team is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Own and prioritize the roadmap for fraud prevention and transaction monitoring within the financial crime strategy.
• Translate fraud threats, money-laundering risk scenarios and control requirements into clear product requirements, detection logic and acceptance criteria.
• Lead the development of rules, models and preventive controls with Engineering, Data, Operations and Compliance. Apply AI and machine learning where they demonstrably improve detection, prevention and case handling.
• Establish reliable, timely data inputs for detection. Identify gaps in data quality, availability or coverage and prioritise their resolution.
• Evaluate proposed controls using historical data and realistic test scenarios. Assess detection coverage, missed activity, false positives and the impact on legitimate customers.
• Deliver changes through the agreed approval process, with clear testing, staged rollout, monitoring and rollback plans.
• Measure performance after release, including fraud losses, detection effectiveness and customer friction. Use the findings to improve controls without treating fewer alerts as proof of success.
• Adapt fraud prevention and transaction monitoring capabilities to emerging threats, new products, markets and transaction types. Make readiness requirements and unresolved coverage gaps visible before launch.
• Coordinate delivery across product teams and control owners, making priorities, dependencies and trade-offs clear and escalating decisions that require accountable leadership.
