Job summary

Veolia Middle East is seeking a Procurement Engineer to execute the procurement and supply chain strategy for projects in the UAE, reporting to the UAE Procurement Manager. You will manage subcontractors and the project procurement team, ensuring alignment with O&M contracts.

You will drive supplier relations, budgets, and risk mitigation, and contribute to bids and continuous process improvements while upholding VEOLIA policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent procurement experience.
• IT skills: Pack Office and Google Workspace is a plus

Responsibilities

• Executes the projects procurement and supply chain strategy with the Project Director and other internal stakeholders.
• Responsible for their contribution to project/procurement performance and KPIs; applies VEOLIA levers while meeting quality and schedule targets.
• Identifies and evaluates supply chain risks and opportunities and mitigates actions.
• Contributes to setting the procurement expediting and logistics budget for the project.
• Drafts, negotiates and finalizes subcontracts in line with VEOLIA policies and templates.
• Responsible for end-to-end subcontracts management and supplier relationships.
• Supervises on-site procurement team including buyers, officers and expeditors.
• Negotiates purchases of critical and strategic goods and services and supports buyer negotiations.
• Ensures framework agreements comply with VEOLIA policies.
• Reports on project activity and KPIs to management monthly.
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders and adheres to IMS and Compliance policies.
• Coaches and empowers the procurement team; may perform other duties as assigned.
