Job summary

Star Services LLC is seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Abu Dhabi with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a minimum of 8–10 years of oil & gas/EPC project experience. The role focuses on process simulation, PFDs/P&IDs, and ensuring safe, compliant operations across processing sections.

You will support budgeting, compliance with safety and environmental standards, and contribute to achieving production targets. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• 10 years experience on major EPC projects and 8 years in Oil & Gas as a Senior Process Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of oil & gas processing principles, equipment, and unit operations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Processing Section operational plans and support implementation to meet production targets.
• Perform process simulations using Aspen HYSYS to model and optimize oil and gas processing units.
• Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, and other technical documents.
• Prepare/modify and document operational/laboratory guidelines, instructions and manuals.
• Ensure all Processing Section activities follow guidelines and procedures and report irregularities to superiors.
• Assist the Processing Head in budgets based on field development and production plans, coordinating activities within budgets and timelines.
• Ensure compliance to safety, quality and environmental policies and controls.
• Demonstrate familiarity with HYSIS process simulation software.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong understanding of oil and gas processing principles, equipment, and unit operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Contribute in the Processing Sections operational plans and support their implementation maintaining the production conditions and ensuring production targets are met in terms of quantity and quality to support the achievement of ADOCs objectives.
• Perform process simulations using software like Aspen HYSYS to model and optimize oil and gas processing units.
• Prepare process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and other technical documents.
• Prepare/modify and document operational/laboratory guidelines, instructions and manuals in line with literature, catalogues & manufacturers manuals and Companys set technical standards.
• Ensure all Processing Section activities are conducted as per set guidelines and procedure and any irregularities in operations are highlighted to superiors.
• Assist the Processing Head in the Processing Sections budgets based on field development, Companys production and annual/mid-term production & maintenance plans related to Utilities facility and coordinate all related activities in compliance with the approved budgets and time lines.
• Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the Department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
• Well versed in process simulation software HYSIS
