Job summary

Duncan & Ross is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support onshore oil & gas projects through FEED, Detail Design and execution. You will develop PFDs, P&IDs, heat balances and process narratives while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

You will perform hydraulic analysis, equipment sizing, and safety studies such as HAZOP/HAZID, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and client specs. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Execute process engineering activities for onshore oil & gas projects during FEED, Detail Design, and execution phases
• Develop and review process deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, Process Datasheets, Line Lists, and Utility Consumption reports
• Perform process calculations including hydraulic analysis, line sizing, equipment sizing, and relief valve sizing
• Prepare and validate Process Design Basis, Heat & Material Balances, Cause & Effect diagrams, and process narratives
• Carry out process simulations using industry-standard software to optimize plant performance and design
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of process requirements
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and other process safety reviews, incorporating recommendations into the design
• Review vendor documents and provide technical evaluations for process equipment packages
• Support procurement, construction, and commissioning teams by resolving process-related technical queries
• Identify design improvements, operational risks, and optimization opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, international standards, and ADNOC engineering requirements
• Assist in troubleshooting process issues during commissioning and start-up activities
• Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and engineering documentation
• Ensure adherence to HSE policies, quality standards, and project schedules

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 10–15 years of experience in process engineering for Onshore Oil & Gas projects
• Strong experience in FEED, Detail Design, and execution phases of EPC projects
• Experience working on ADNOC Onshore projects is highly preferred
• Proficiency in process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of process design calculations, equipment sizing, and hydraulic analysis
• Familiarity with international codes and standards including API, ASME, ISO, and client specifications
• Experience participating in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and other process safety studies
• Ability to review vendor documentation and coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills
