Job summary

Avrioc Technologies seeks a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer to drive end-to-end technical responses for UAE/GCC government and enterprise tenders. You will design integrated server, storage, virtualization, networking, and security solutions, addressing ICV, data residency, and regional compliance.

You will lead PoCs, customer presentations, and pricing negotiations with Tier-1 vendors such as Dell, HPE, Cisco, VMware, and Fortinet, ensuring compliant BoMs and compelling proposals.

Qualifications

• Proven track record managing mid-to-large government IT tenders in UAE/GCC.
• Deep expertise in enterprise servers, SAN/NAS storage, and virtualization.
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, VLANs, LAN/WAN architectures.
• Working knowledge of Next-Gen Firewalls, IAM, and GCC cybersecurity frameworks.
• Minimum 4–6 years pre-sales experience in UAE/GCC IT channel.
• Excellent client-facing presentation and scoping skills with executives.

We are seeking a dynamic and technically versatile Senior Pre-Sales Engineer with deep domain expertise in core enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, and public/private sector procurement cycles across the UAE and GCC markets. In this role, you will act as the technical bridge between our sales team, Tier-1 vendors, and regional government/semi-government clients (e.g., ministries, smart city initiatives, federal authorities, and defense/oil & gas entities). You will design, architect, and pitch end-to-end solutions encompassing server, storage, virtualization, networking, and security, while expertly navigating complex regional tender processes, compliance mandates, and local security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end technical response for complex Requests for Proposals (RFPs), RFQs, and Invitations to Tender (ITT) issued by UAE/GCC federal departments, municipalities, and enterprise accounts.
• Deconstruct stringent regional tender specifications, compliance matrices, local content regulations (e.g., In-Country Value – ICV in the UAE), and mandatory SLA requirements.
• Author comprehensive, high-quality technical proposals, executive summaries, and compliance write-ups aligned with regional procurement laws.
• Translate regional enterprise client requirements and tender scopes into scalable, resilient, high-availability architectures across server, storage, and networking layers.

Regional Cybersecurity & Regulatory Compliance Alignment

• Ensure proposed architectures align with regional regulatory and cybersecurity standards such as NESA/SCA (UAE), UAE Information Security Regulation (ISR), and data residency mandates.

Proof of Concept (PoC) & Demonstration Management

• Design and execute high-stakes PoCs, technical presentations, and product demonstrations to validate architectural performance against strict government evaluation benchmarks.
• Leverage strategic relationships with Tier-1 technology vendors (e.g., Dell, HPE, Cisco, VMware, Fortinet) to secure competitive regional tender pricing, back-to-back OEM support, and deal registration.

Bill of Materials (BoM) & Costing

• Create accurate, competitive, and fully compliant hardware, software, and licensing configurations mapped precisely to regional tender financial budgets and technical stipulations.

Required/Preferred Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Regional Tender Processing & Proposal Writing: Proven track record of managing mid-to-large-scale government and semi-government IT tenders in the UAE/GCC, adhering to strict submission deadlines and complex legal/technical compliance criteria.
• Core Infrastructure: Deep expertise in enterprise servers, SAN/NAS storage arrays, and virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, or Microsoft Hyper‑V).
• Networking Fundamentals: Solid understanding of routing, switching, VLANs, LAN/WAN architectures, and basic SD‑WAN concepts.
• Cybersecurity Foundation & Regulatory Frameworks: Working knowledge of Next‑Gen Firewalls, endpoint protection, IAM, and familiarity with GCC cybersecurity frameworks (NESA, NCA, ISR).
• SI/Distri Experience: Minimum 4–6 years of pre‑sales experience working within an established IT System Integrator or Value‑Added Distributor operating within the UAE/GCC channel ecosystem.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional client‑facing presentation and scoping skills, capable of engaging confidently with government evaluation committees, technical directors, and CXOs.

Preferred Background & Education

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Regional Compliance & Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., VCP, CCNA/CCNP, CISSP) and familiarity with UAE/GCC government procurement or security standards are a strong plus.
