Job summary

TALENTMATE is seeking an Executive-Level Electrical Engineer specialized in power electronics for a high-profile defense/space project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will define roadmaps, lead design and validation of DC-DC converters, inverters, and motor drives, and align hardware with software and control algorithms to deliver high-efficiency systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics (advanced PhD is a plus).
15+ years of experience in power electronics design, system integration and validation.

Responsibilities

Define and implement technical roadmaps for power electronics and hardware design.
Provide strategic direction for integrating simulation tools, circuit design, and prototyping workflows to drive system innovation.
Lead the design and optimization of DC-DC converters, inverters, and motor drives for high-efficiency applications.
Drive advanced topologies for energy management, high-performance devices, and compact designs.
Oversee circuit design and PCB development using Altium Designer, ensuring signal integrity and manufacturability.
Utilize MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, and LTspice to model and analyze system behaviors.
Lead prototyping, validating power systems and rapid iteration to meet system requirements.
Oversee machine design projects, integrating power electronics with motor systems and sensors.
Ensure cohesive operation of hardware, software, and control algorithms in electromechanical systems.
Conduct comprehensive testing including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations and field testing.
Oversee integration of power electronics into larger systems addressing EMC, thermal performance and reliability.
Develop and optimize control algorithms for electric drives (trapezoidal, FOC, DTC).
