Job summary

Wood is seeking a seasoned PMC Constructability Specialist based in Abu Dhabi to optimize engineering designs for safe, cost-effective construction and installation. You will embed constructability early in design and throughout execution, coordinating with engineering teams and EPC contractors.

The role requires 15+ years in refinery projects with 5+ years in constructability or construction engineering, and a strong track record in PMC roles on ADNOC or similar projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or equivalent)
• Professional certifications are an advantage
• 15+ years of experience in refinery projects
• At least 5+ years in constructability or construction engineering roles
• Strong experience in PMC roles on ADNOC or similar Middle East projects
• Experience in EPC/EPCM project execution
• Strong coordination and communication skills; safety-first mindset

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Constructability Program in line with ADNOC project requirements
• Prepare the Constructability Execution Plan (CEP) and ensure integration with overall project execution strategy
• Define constructability objectives, procedures, and KPIs
• Review FEED and detailed engineering deliverables for ease of construction and installation
• Identify modularization and prefabrication opportunities to reduce rework
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines and EPC contractors; conduct constructability workshops
• Evaluate construction methodologies and assess safety, practicality and site conditions
• Identify opportunities for offsite fabrication and modular construction
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to knowledge base
