Job summary

KBR-Abu Dhabi is seeking a Planning Engineer to oversee project scheduling, progress reporting, and cost-loading for large-scale power and water transmission schemes in Abu Dhabi. The role involves collaboration with Client and consultants, with a focus on schedule integrity and data-driven decision support.

Qualified candidates bring 5+ years of planning experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong skills in Primavera P6, Power BI, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience in planning and scheduling for large projects.

Responsibilities

• Schedule Development & Maintenance using Primavera P6.
• Build and maintain schedules incl. baselines, updates, recovery plans, what-if scenarios.
• Develop activity coding aligned to WBS/OBS, calendars, and resource loading.
• Perform logic checks, critical path analysis, and near-critical path monitoring.
• Produce progress reporting: lookahead schedules, narrative, variance analyses, milestone tracking.
• Create dashboards and visuals with Power BI showing SPI/CPI trends and milestone heatmaps.
• Coordinate with cost engineers to cost-load schedules and produce time-phased cash flows.
• Compare planned vs. actual costs to highlight variances affecting schedule.
