Job summary

KBR-Abu Dhabi is seeking a Cost Engineer to oversee project cost management on a large-scale power and water transmission project in Abu Dhabi. This PMC role involves coordinating with supervision consultants and EPCs appointed by the client.

You will develop budgets, track costs, prepare variance analyses and forecasts, verify payments and support claims. You will mentor team members and drive disciplined cost control across the programme.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cost engineering or project controls.
• Proven experience in large-scale programmes with similar scope.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor overall program and package budgets.
• Track costs against budgets including committed, incurred, and forecast costs.
• Create cost reports with variances, earned value and change commentary.
• Coordinate with clients, supervision consultants, EPC Contractors, vendors and regulators.
• Prepare monthly forecast-to-complete and ensure final accounting for contracts.
• Review invoices and verify payments; support claims resolutions.
• Mentor project team members and support risk management.
