Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Planning Engineer with a decade in project planning to lead schedules for complex projects in the UAE. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and analyzing schedules to ensure on-time delivery.

You will use Primavera P6 or MS Project, collaborate with managers and engineers, monitor progress, highlight critical paths, and report to senior management. A strong PM background and UAE familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of project planning and scheduling experience.
• At least 3 years of UAE/Dubai experience.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of PM principles and construction methods.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules and plans.
• Prepare and analyze detailed project schedules using planning tools.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential delays or issues and proposing solutions.
• Conduct regular project reviews and provide status reports to senior management and clients.
• Analyze and report on critical path activities, schedule deviations, and resource utilization.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and best practices in project planning.
• Facilitate coordination meetings and workshops with project teams to align schedules and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Prepare and manage project documentation related to planning and scheduling.
