Job summary

Groupe SEGULA Technologies SA in the UAE is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to join the project controls team on a major construction and infrastructure project. You will develop, maintain and control integrated schedules using Primavera P6 to meet contractual milestones.

The role requires advanced scheduling, progress tracking, delay analysis, and experience with recovery planning, TIA, and look-ahead reporting, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to drive on‑time delivery.

Qualifications

• Advanced Primavera P6 capability combined with strong construction planning, progress monitoring and contractual planning experience.
• Experience in developing and maintaining integrated project schedules to meet milestones.
• Ability to prepare recovery plans and revised programmes throughout project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline schedules, detailed execution programmes, procurement schedules, engineering schedules and resource-loaded schedules.
• Prepare recovery plans and revised programmes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish and maintain WBS, coding structures, calendars, milestones and schedule logic.
• Monitor engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning progress.
• Collect, validate and analyse project progress data.
• Perform critical path, float, schedule variance and productivity analyses.
• Conduct Time Impact Analysis (TIA).
• What-if scenario modelling and recovery planning.
• Evaluate schedule impacts caused by changes, variations and unforeseen events.
• Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports.
• Produce look-ahead schedules, dashboards, S-curves and KPI reports.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial teams, subcontractors and clients.
• Review subcontractor and supplier schedules against master programme.
• Identify interface risks and ensure compliance with milestones.
• Support EOT claims, delay analysis and disruption claims.
• Participate in coordination meetings, risk workshops and client presentations.
• Identify schedule risks and mitigation measures.
• Monitor productivity, resources and sequencing.
• Maintain planning documentation and programme revisions.
• Support tender/bid preparation with preliminary programmes and execution strategies.
• Mentor Planning Engineers and Junior Planning Engineers.

Job Description

The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining and controlling integrated project schedules to support successful project delivery within approved contractual milestones.

The role requires advanced Primavera P6 capability combined with strong construction planning, progress monitoring, delay analysis and contractual planning experience.

• Mentor Planning Engineers and Junior Planning Engineers.
