Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to manage complex construction schedules in the UAE. You will lead Primavera P6 scheduling, monitor progress, and drive recovery plans for high-rise projects.

The role requires a civil engineering degree with 10+ years in planning, strong coordination skills, and UAE site experience. Immediate joining is preferred, with on-site responsibilities in Dubai.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years planning experience in building construction.
• Proven experience in high-rise residential/commercial projects.
• Excellent Primavera P6 proficiency.
• Strong scheduling knowledge: critical path, resource loading, progress measurement.
• Experience in baseline, recovery, look-ahead programs, S-curves, and progress reports.
• UAE construction experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, coordination, reporting and communication skills.
• Immediate joining is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline schedules, recovery schedules, look-ahead programs, and revised project programs.
• Monitor progress against baseline; identify delays, critical activities, and variances.
• Track milestones, critical path, float, resource requirements, and progress vs. plan.
• Collect progress data from site teams and prepare weekly and monthly reports.
• Analyze delays and prepare delay analyses, impact assessments, and recovery plans.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Update schedules based on site progress and approved changes.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and productivity against requirements.
• Prepare S-curves, dashboards, histograms and other planning reports.
• Assist in EOT documentation and schedule analysis when required.
• Attend progress and coordination meetings; provide updates on status and delays.
• Ensure activities align with drawings, procurement schedules, construction sequences, and milestones.

Job description

• Prepare baseline schedules, recovery schedules, look-ahead programs, and revised project programs.

• Monitor actual progress against the approved baseline and identify delays, critical activities, and schedule variances.

• Track project milestones, critical path, float, resource requirements, and planned vs. actual progress.

• Collect progress data from site teams and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.

• Analyze project delays and prepare delay analysis, impact assessments, and recovery plans.

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure activities are properly planned and executed.

• Update Primavera schedules based on actual site progress and approved changes.

• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and productivity against project requirements.

• Prepare S-curves, progress dashboards, histograms, and other planning reports.

• Assist in preparing Extension of Time (EOT) documentation and supporting schedule analysis when required.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

• Minimum 10 years of planning experience in building construction.

• Proven experience in high-rise residential/commercial building projects.

• Excellent proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, critical path analysis, resource loading, and progress measurement.

• Experience in preparing baseline programs, recovery programs, look-ahead schedules, S-curves, and progress reports.

• Knowledge of construction sequencing, procurement, and site execution activities.

• Experience in delay analysis and EOT preparation is an advantage.

• UAE construction experience is highly preferred.

• Strong analytical, coordination, reporting, and communication skills.
